Kent Reliance for Intermediaries

Solutions to support your MUFB clients

Client looking to purchase a multi-unit freehold property?

A multi-unit freehold property can be a bit tricky, a lot of mainstream lenders tend to shy away from them. Fortunately, Kent Reliance for Intermediaries don’t. Complex cases are our bread and butter, so we always look at applications on a case-by-case basis.

Here’s an example of how we could help multi-unit freehold clients

You’ve got an existing landlord client who wants to purchase a multi-unit freehold property to meet the strong demand from young professionals for accommodation in the area. The property is comprised of eight units, all of which are self-contained with their own bathroom, toilet and kitchen facilities. Your client needs to borrow £760,000 at 80% LTV and wants the units on a single freehold arrangement. You’re experiencing difficulties in finding a lender which can meet your client’s requirements.

Fortunately, we consider properties with up to 10 units and will accept applications with multiple units on a single freehold.
