Put the energy into their new home survey.

Energy efficiency is an important consideration for anyone who’s in the process of buying a new home.

According to a new survey, over half of Brits expect a positive long-term impact from net zero transition. When you let your customers know about the HomePlus Digital Home Survey, then, you’re potentially helping them unlock vital cost savings, while also making it easier for them to do their bit.

Why? The Survey includes a review of a property’s Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), if available, and checks for any obvious discrepancies between the EPC and the property. In short, it gives your customers the peace of mind that the house they have their heart set on is the one for them.

Rated five stars on Trustpilot by well over 5,000 people, the Survey makes perfect sense for them and for you.

eConveyancer

New features guaranteed to boost your conveyancing experience.

We’ve been listening closely to your feedback, and we’re thrilled launch new features which are now available on the platform. You can now personalise your quotes even further by selecting from the new ‘Considerations’ below – increased transparency for all:

Our system will filter the list of conveyancers who can provide the services you require and confirm any additional fees chargeable; these will be confirmed on quotations.

Trust

We want to be upfront with the services conveyancers offer. We don’t want your client to get months into their case before they realise the conveyancer can’t act for them, wasting time and money.

Transparency

We think costs should be transparent and we are doing all we can to give the client the most accurate quote possible from the beginning. We don’t want any surprises when the completion statement is issued.

Your feedback is important, keep sharing and we will continue to listen.

Important update to our Critical Illness Cover

Quotes from 29th April 2024 onwards will include our changes to Critical Illness Extra and Children’s Critical Illness Extra. From the 29th April, any pipeline cases with a quote date prior to 29th April 2024 will remain on the old T&Cs  as long as:

  • The policy completes within 90 days of the original quote date
  • The start date is within 90 days of the original quote date
  • A final underwriting decision is applied within 90 days of the original quote date
  • A requote is not performed.

There are four scenarios where a pipeline case may not proceed on original terms and conditions and application must be resold:

  • The policy does not complete within 90 days of the original quote date
  • The start date is after 90 days of the original quote date
  • A manual underwriting decision is applied 90 days after the original quote date
  • A requote is performed, for example, because the new terms and conditions are required.

I would really appreciate it if you could please can you share the above information with your teams so that they are aware.

Our team is here to support you through this process, so please encourage your members to reach out to their dedicated account manager if they have any questions. Episode 17 | From Diagnosis to Grief: A Journey Through Loss

In this episode, Hazel and Wayne had the privilege of speaking with Beth, a Legal & General colleague who shared her heartfelt and poignant story about her husband Pete’s battle with cancer and his unfortunate passing last year. Beth discussed the importance of having insurance, specifically critical illness cover, and life insurance, and how it impacted her family during such a challenging time.

We also cover;

  • Financial flexibility and choices that having insurance provides.
  • The importance of mental health support, and the need for open conversations about insurance and its long-term impact.

Overall, Beth’s experience sheds light on the lasting effects of illness and loss, the need for comprehensive insurance coverage, and the ongoing support required for individuals and families facing such challenges. Thank you, Beth, for sharing your story.

Therefore, it’s imperative we consistently shed a light on the importance of open communication around mental health in our industry.

Our very own Rob Barnard was recently joined by Jason Berry, Group Sales Director at Crystal Specialist Finance and Co-Founder of Mortgage Industry Mental Health Charter (MIMHC) for hit The Specialist Podcast.

Jason candidly discusses his personal journey, what inspired him to find the Mortgage Industry Mental Health Charter, the ways that we as an industry can support our peers and spot any signs, and how the impact of COVID-19 is still impacting so many.
