Creating the future of BTL Mortgages.

The ambition of LendInvest Mortgages is clear: make every mortgage simple by bringing people and technology together for a simple experience for brokers and their customers.
After the launch of our Residential mortgage range last year, which used the same technology we’d established in the LendInvest Mortgages Portal for Bridging, our attention turned to how to do the same for Buy-to-Let.
For the years up until now, we’ve used a good system that brokers are familiar with, BEP, and that has helped us grow our Buy-to-Let range.
But when we looked to the future, we wanted more control of what we could offer brokers and ultimately their customers through our Buy-to-Let range, so we moved to bring Buy-to-Let into our LendInvest Mortgages Portal, and realise our ambition of having every mortgage for every type of customer available in one place.
Here’s how we did it…
Broker feedback
As ever when we design any of our products – and as we’ve talked about recently with the redesigned Portal – the first step is always working with brokers.
Through this we can understand what they liked about our legacy portal, but also what more they wanted, and what the pain points were that could help them speed up the application process.
From there, it was about integrating that with the next generation technology we’d built for our other products: live case tracking, automated searches, integrations and access to case managers and underwriters to have full transparency of the progress of every deal.
Through our experience of building Residential and Bridging products into our Mortgages Portal, we’ve really seen the benefit of having brokers and our operations team working in the same platform, so we really wanted to bring that to our Buy-to-Let customers, and have succeeded.
The outcome
Credit-Backed DIPs, Copy Across of existing application details to new ones, Live Case Updates, a faster logged-in experience, and Broker Tasks. All of these features are now available to Buy-to-Let brokers who want to offer their customers certainty and speed from their lender after a year lacking in it.
These are just some of the features available to brokers using our new system, which will continue to evolve as we make your lives more simple.
