Penrith Building Society

Introduction

Penrith Building Society (Penrith) is a mutually owned organisation, which puts the customer at the forefront of our proposition. Penrith has been helping members save and buy their own homes since 1877 and we are as relevant now as we were 146 years ago. Based in the beautiful North Lakes, we lend in England, Scotland and Wales.

Our purpose is to provide a safe home for savings and to enable home ownership.

As we credit search, rather than credit score, our individual and human approach to underwriting, enables us to help customers who have individual circumstances which require a commonsense approach. Catering for a wide range of needs, including credit blips, living and working abroad, no maximum age and earned income up to age 75. We’re here to help, where the Hight Street Lenders fear to tread.
