aviva Equity Release

Introduction

With over 20 years’ experience, we’re one of the most established and trusted equity release lenders in the UK. We’ve helped over 260,000 people release more than £9 billion.

We are the only provider who can offer personalised Equity Release. Our flexible pricing model and product features means you can offer your client a truly personalised product, that’s the right fit for them.

We’re proud to have been awarded the Moneyfacts 5* rating for the last three years and to have won the Best Equity Release Lender and Best Equity Release Customer Service categories of the What Mortgage Awards for the last five years in a row. Our focus continues to be helping you get the best deal for your clients and providing outstanding customer service.

If your client has a lifetime mortgage with Aviva, they will have access to the MyAviva app which is a simple way for them to check in on their lifetime mortgage. They’ll be able to see the amount they’ve borrowed and the amount they owe, as well as being able to access their statements online and see how much they have in their cash reserve facility (if they have one). What’s more, they’ll also benefit from exclusive offers for being an Aviva customer, such as discounts on our travel and home insurance products.

Key Features:

  • You’ll remain a homeowner
You’ll retain full legal ownership of your home.
  • No negative equity guarantee
You or your estate will never have to pay back more than your home can be sold for, providing it’s sold for the best price reasonably obtainable.
  • Flexible withdrawal and repayment options
Our lifetime mortgages give you the option to receive either a one-off lump sum or a smaller cash sum with a cash reserve to draw from. You’ll only pay interest on the money you withdraw and voluntary partial repayments can be made, subject to our terms and conditions.
  • Tailored interest rate
We tailor our interest rates to each individual application meaning you’ll always get a fixed rate that will never increase and is unique to your personal situation.
  • Leave part inheritance
You can safeguard a percentage of your home’s value to leave behind as an inheritance although this will reduce the amount you’ll be able to borrow.
  • Portable
You can apply to transfer your lifetime mortgage to a new property. The new property must meet the lending criteria at the time of application.
  • Downsizing protection
If you want to move home and the new property does not meet the lending criteria, you can repay your lifetime mortgage with no early repayment charge. To benefit from downsizing protection, you need to have held your plan for 3 years or more.
