Looking After Children’s Mental Health

Around three children in every primary school class has a mental health problem and many more struggle with challenges from bullying to bereavement. Place2Be, a children’s mental health charity, has organised their sixth Children’s Mental Health Week from 3-9 February 2020.

Schools, youth groups, organisations and individuals across the UK will take part, and this year’s theme is Find your Brave. Bravery can be about sharing worries, asking for help, trying something new or pushing outside a comfort zone. These actions can help build confidence and self-esteem.

Place2Be provides support and training in counselling and mental health. They deliver this in schools to children, staff and counsellors, using tried and tested methods backed by research.

By raising awareness of the services that come with Legal & General products, you too could support your clients and their families with mental health.

Supporting your protection clients with Nurse Support Services

Legal & General have partnered with RedArc Assured Limited and their registered nurses, because they want to help you look after your clients’ wellbeing.

From the day your clients take out their Legal & General policy, they can call Legal & General Nurse Support Services provided, by RedArc to access assistance. This service is available to your client and their immediate family – including their spouse, partner, and children living at home.

Nurse advisers offer long-term support and guidance for mental health conditions along with other services. Using their expertise, they are able to identify the most appropriate course of action and can quickly arrange face-to-face counselling or therapy sessions.

They include this in all of their products (excluding whole of life) meaning they can offer clients’ children the support they need.

To discuss services available via Legal & General Nurse Support Services in more detail, please get in touch with your Legal & General contact or visit their adviser page.
